Client build — ongoingGlobal trade & freight · Turkey ↔ UK/US
The problem
A freight forwarder on the platform had the usual problem: visitors read a services page and left. The brief was blunt — get people to stay longer, and come back.
What I built
A live freight-market board — the reason to come back — with a pricing request at the end of it.
- Tracks daily transits through the Bosporus, Suez, Bab el-Mandeb and Hormuz via satellite positioning, so congestion is visible before it hits a rate
- Container call volumes at loading and discharge ports (Ambarlı, UK, US East Coast) as a capacity and delay signal
- Cost drivers on the same screen: diesel, Brent crude, EUR/TRY — the inputs behind every freight surcharge
- Curated trade-press headlines for market context
- Built entirely on free public data (IMF, US EIA, ECB, trade publications) — no API contracts, no per-call costs, no login
- A structured pricing request sits at the end of the board: by the time someone asks for a quote, they have already told you the route and the cargo
